1.) Lack of pinpoint accuracy – Even with the latest technology, location precision is theoretically in the range of meters.  Realistically, it is more like tens of meters

Weather condition and surrounding features such as building, bridge, vegetation and even plants can adversely affect service availability and accuracy as many of these technologies required direct line of sight and multiple points of observation

3.) Costly – Infrastructure and slow in implementation with weak signal especially in underground environment

It is difficult to integrate the information from one solution to another as most solutions are proprietary and thus most of them will end up with partial implementation for Location Base Services (LBS).

Nu-WIFI Technology

Nu-WIFI deploys location beacons in targeted spaces according to types of location services required.  Nu-WIFI can provide 1-, 2- and 3-dimensional location information accurate to the tune of centimeters.

The antennas and beacons to be installed depending on the type of location information needed. 

A typical system consists of a Base Station, a Location Administration Server, Beacon(s) and Identifier(s).

At the core of the system is Nu-WIFI Base Station, which broadcast standard WIFI signal at 1.266Gbps and its proprietary Nu-WIFI radio signal (Nu-WIFI IoT Signal) at 2Mbps. 

Nu-WIFI IoT Signal is a low power (0.1~100mW) communication protocol capable of supporting up to 200 front-end connection with full-duplex voice capability.  The wake-up delay is as short as in microseconds while the data transmission is in milliseconds.
The connection between Base Station and remote beacon/antenna is a simple coax cable.   

For larger geographical areas, multiple Base Stations are connected to achieve complete coverage.
